Hit 300 flue repairs this year and I'm pretty surprised

I was going through my receipts last week and realized I've already done 300 flue repairs in 2024. That's way more than my normal pace, especially since I cover both Greenville and Spartanburg. Not sure if it's just more old houses needing work or if I'm getting faster at it. Has anyone else seen a big jump in their numbers like this?

300 flue repairs and I've only burned through two of my favorite screwdrivers this year, so maybe that's the real win. But honestly, with all those old houses in Spartanburg, I'm starting to wonder if they're made out of balsa wood and prayers. At this rate I'll hit 400 by December and have to buy a new truck just to haul the parts around.

Man that's honestly wild to hit 300 already. Your situation sounds like a lot of what I've been hearing from other guys in the trade - seems like everyone's swamped this year compared to normal. Dude your comment about balsa wood and prayers cracked me up though, cause that's exactly how some of these older homes feel when you get into them. Really hope you don't actually need a new truck for parts, that kind of expense on top of the workload would be brutal. Hang in there man, you're clearly doing something right to be that busy.

Balsa wood and prayers, that's my new band name.
