Just realized pour-over is better than my espresso machine
I was at a little café in Portland last month and the barista spent 3 minutes explaining why he switched from espresso to pour-over for his daily cup. He showed me how the flavor opened up with the bloom and I could actually taste the difference, so now I'm thinking about selling my $400 machine. Anyone else make the switch and regret it or love it?

Had a buddy who dropped $600 on a fancy espresso setup, used it for three months, then gave it away. He said the pour-over ritual slowed him down and made him actually pay attention to the coffee instead of rushing through a shot. Now he just uses a plastic V60 and says it's the best daily cup he's ever had.

Stick with the pour-over for a while before you sell anything. I kept my espresso machine but barely touch it now. The pour-over just tastes cleaner and more interesting to me.
