My espresso machine shot water everywhere during a morning rush
I was at my home setup last Tuesday, trying to pull a shot before work, and the portafilter basically exploded. Water sprayed all over my counter, my grinder, and my phone. Turns out I forgot to lock it in properly because I was half asleep. I spent 20 minutes cleaning up and had to skip coffee entirely that day. Has anyone else had a dumb moment like that wreck your whole morning?

Wait, you actually put your phone on the counter next to a running espresso machine?

Wait, did the steam or heat from the machine actually mess with your phone's screen or just make the whole thing feel like it was about to melt? Because I had a similar thing happen with my Silvia and the vibration messed up my camera focus for a whole day. People don't realize how much heat and humidity those little machines kick out, even from the side. My phone was fine after it cooled down but I DEFINITELY learned my lesson. That counter is no place for anything with a battery in it, period.
