Been bagging my comics wrong for 15 years... a friend pointed it out at a convention last weekend

I always put the tape flap on the bag opening so it's easy to open. Turns out you're supposed to put it on the back so dust doesn't get in through the gap. Never even thought about it until a guy at a booth in Pittsburgh told me I was doing it backwards. Anyone else make this mistake for years?

Haven't you been putting the tape on the side anyway? Seems like that gap is on both sides regardless.

Actually @evan_cooper73, there's a trick where you put the tape on the inside of the gap instead of the outside... it pulls the panels tighter together and hides the gap way better. Most folks just slap it on the visible side without thinking about how the tension actually works. Something about the leverage changes when you reverse the placement.
