Finally admitted I was a DC hater for no reason - here's what flipped me

I used to talk trash about DC constantly at my local shop, saying their heroes were boring. Then last month my buddy forced me to sit down and read Kingdom Come at his place in Brooklyn. The way it showed the old Justice League vs the new generation hit me different. I realized I had never actually read any of the classic stories, I was just repeating what some guy on YouTube said. Has anyone else had a comic that completely changed how you see a publisher?

And here I was hating on Marvel for years just because I couldn't reach the top shelf where they kept the good comics.

Same thing happened with me and Image comics. @owens.anthony my buddy in Ridgewood was the same way, trashing Image until someone handed him the first Walking Dead compendium. Now he pre-orders everything they put out. Its wild how one good read can flip your whole view.

I mean so I got a buddy in Astoria who was the exact same way. He'd clown on Marvel for years because he thought they were too simple or whatever. Then his girlfriend bought him the House of M trade for his birthday one year and he said he stayed up all night reading it. Like he literally texted me at 3am like "dude this is actually good what's wrong with me". Now he's the guy arguing with people at the shop about Marvel events and it's kind of funny to watch.
