Rant: Took me 3 flat jobs to admit I was using too much water in the mix

I always thought a wetter mix made it easier to finish, but after a job in Austin last month where the surface kept dusting on me, I finally looked at what the bag actually said. Turns out I was adding about a gallon more water than recommended for a 60lb bag, and the difference in the final cure was night and day after I cut back. Has anyone else noticed a major change in strength or color when you stick to the exact water ratio?

Whoa, hold up, pinholes everywhere? That's wild. I've had some bubbles before but never full on pinholes like you're describing. How bad was it, like hundreds of tiny craters all over the surface? That had to be a nightmare to try and fix or explain to a customer.

Made the same mistake on a garage slab and ended up with pinholes everywhere.
