Swapped out my old scheduling board for a digital one, what a difference in 2 weeks

I was using a whiteboard and sticky notes for my crew schedules on a big apartment project in Phoenix, but kept losing track of subs and deliveries. Switched to a simple cloud app and it cut my daily coordination time from an hour to 20 minutes. Anyone else make the jump from paper to digital and notice a big change?

But hey, at least you finally figured out that sticky notes don't magically update themselves when a sub cancels at the last minute. Digital is nice until your internet goes down in Phoenix in August and you're back to scribbling on napkins while your phone melts. Honestly, the fact that whiteboards lasted this long in construction is a miracle. But glad you're enjoying your new toy.

My buddy runs a small crew and they switched to an app for scheduling last spring. First week using it, the internet went out for four hours during a monsoon out in Surprise. He had to drive to a McDonald's just to pull up who was supposed to show up that afternoon and ended up writing shifts on a napkin in his truck. He said it felt like he was back in 1995 for a day.

How's that napkin gonna hold up when the inspector wants to see your crew's start times from last month? You can't trade time-stamped digital logs for a piece of paper you found under a truck seat. And @sanchez.mary's buddy drove to a McDonald's once, but how many times has a whiteboard been wiped clean by accident, or a sticky note fallen off and blown into a ditch? The trade-off is one bad day versus a constant headache.
