Why does nobody talk about hitting 400 punch list items on one job?
Back in 2001 I thought a 60 item punch list in Columbus was huge, but this 400 item closeout on a 12 story building (yes 400) makes me miss the days when we tracked them with a clipboard and a highlighter, so has anyone found a closeout method that keeps a list that size from eating your whole week?
Eh, that only works if the items are all the same kind of thing. Some stuff has to move together, like if one piece depends on another, so you can't just park it in a "later" pile and forget it. I split mine by what's actually active right now, not by a fixed number like 40. Otherwise the things waiting get stale and you lose track of why they were there.
