It was on a phone screen in the crowd, showing him saying stuff he never would. How do you even fact check something like that on the spot?

Man, a buddy got fooled by a fake video of a coach being traded last year. He looked like a real fool telling everyone about it.

Actually, that kind of thing is why you can't trust your eyes anymore. My cousin showed me a fake video of a celebrity saying the wildest stuff, and it looked totally real. The trick is to check the source right away, not the video itself. See who posted it and look for a real news site reporting the same thing. If it's just some random account, it's probably fake. Waiting a few minutes before sharing can save you a lot of trouble.
