Rant: My pitch got torn apart at a startup mixer in Midtown last month
I was at that Founders and Funders event at the TechTown space, and an investor basically said my whole business model was wrong for the Detroit market. It stung, but he was right about the local supply chain issues. Has anyone else had their plan totally flipped by local feedback like that?

How fast did you write down what they said? I always force myself to take notes in the moment, because the real fix is usually buried in their criticism.

Wait you can actually WRITE while they're talking? My brain just freezes up and I have to nod and pretend I'm getting it all. By the time they finish I've forgotten the first three points already.

Eh, at least you got a real answer... some of those folks just give you the polite smile and move on. Could've been worse.
