My fermented foods video is back up after a long fight

I post videos about making things like kimchi and sauerkraut. One got taken down for breaking community rules last year. I kept sending messages saying it was just about food. After many tries, the platform put it back online this week. It's a tiny victory but means a lot to me. I can share my culture's recipes again. Content bots really need to understand context better.

So you reckon blunt force clarity is the only way?

Your original post said this took a year. When your video finally got restored, was it because a real person finally looked at your messages, or did the automated system just finally accept your simple wording? @charlesr86, that blunt force clarity might work, but only if it ever reaches a human who gets the context.

How did you finally get them to listen? I had a video about fixing my bike get flagged last year too, the auto system said it showed dangerous acts. I mean, it was just me tightening a chain. I kept re filing those appeal forms every week and wrote a really short, clear note that just said what was actually in the video. Took forever, but putting it in the simplest terms possible is what did it for me in the end. Those bots really don't get nuance at all.

You said putting it in the simplest terms is what did it, and that's part of it for sure. But reading the original post, it sounds like the main thing was just not giving up. They said they kept sending messages over a long fight. So it was that mix of clear explanation and stubbornly trying over and over. The bots might need simple words, but the system also seems to need a person who just won't go away.
