Got told my WiFi setup was the reason I keep losing work...

A guy in a co-working space in Chiang Mai pointed out my laptop was connecting to the 2.4GHz band instead of 5GHz... said that's why my uploads were crawling. Switched it after he showed me and it cut my file upload time from 8 minutes down to 2. Anyone else find their digital nomad setup has a hidden bottleneck like that?

Bruh that 2.4 vs 5 thing is a real game changer, same thing happened to me at a hostel in Bali.

People don't realize how much the 2.4 band gets clogged up in crowded places like hostels or apartments. 5 GHz cuts through that noise way better when you're close enough to the router. That band swap probably saved your Bali trip from being a buffering nightmare.
