Took me three hours to degrease one baking sheet with regular soap
I usually just use Ajax for everything, but my wife burnt some honey onto a sheet pan last week and it was a disaster. I scrubbed and scrubbed for three hours straight and barely made a dent. Finally grabbed a bottle of Dawn that my neighbor left at our place and it cut through the mess in maybe 10 minutes. Has anyone else run into a pan that just refuses to cooperate with your usual brand?

Honestly, three hours on one baking sheet? That's not cleaning, that's a part-time job. I would have given up after 20 minutes and just called it "seasoned" like a cast iron pan. Ngl, your neighbor's Dawn sounds like it saved your marriage, cause I bet that honey was about to become a divorce attorney's retainer fee. Tbh, I'm half convinced some pans are just born evil and no amount of elbow grease will fix them.

Dawn is a brand name not a specific formula type, the blue original Dawn works way better than the other varieties like the green apple scent one. That three hour scrub sounds brutal though.
