Struggled for 2 hours trying to pierce my own helix at a weird angle
I spent way too long getting the placement right on my helix piercing last week. Clamped it, marked it, unclamped, reclamped like 4 times before I gave up and just went for it. Ended up a little crooked but not too bad. How do you guys nail the angle on ear piercings without a second pair of hands?

Tried to pierce my own tragus once and the needle slipped right through the cotton ball I was using for grip...

Wait, you pierced your own ear? Like by yourself with a needle and everything? That's wild, I can't even watch those piercing videos without getting queasy. You're braver than me for sure. I think the angle thing is just impossible solo unless you've got like three mirrors set up or something. Have you thought about using a friend to at least help you line it up next time?

Tbh I tried using a friend once and they were way too nervous about it. They kept hesitating and my ear was just throbbing from that anticipation. Ended up doing it myself again anyway. Three mirrors sounds like a solid plan though, might have to raid my bathroom for that next time.
