Hot take: password managers aren't the only safe way to handle logins

I tried using a paper notebook for my passwords after getting locked out of my email last spring, and it's been way more reliable than any app I tested. Has anyone else gone analog and found it stops phishing dead in its tracks?

idk man, a paper notebook? that's wild to me. I mean, what happens if you lose it or someone steals it? thats like handing them the keys to everything. maybe its just me but I feel like keeping passwords in a physical book is way more risky than people think. phishing is one thing but what about your house getting broken into or just misplacing the notebook. I tried something similar with a sticky note on my monitor once and it ended up in the trash somehow.

Wait, where'd you find the sticky note @kaigibson? Was it in a random pile of papers or did someone just toss it like it was nothing? That's the part that gets me - how something so important can just disappear into the trash.
