Finishing my basement shelving took way longer than expected

I thought it would be a weekend job, but measuring and cutting all the pieces ate up days. Now I know to double the time I think I'll need.

Totally feel that, basements are the worst for this. Was helping my buddy measure his last month and the ceiling was so low we were basically crawling. Between the spiderwebs and those random pipes in the way, you can't get a straight line anywhere. Honestly gave up and just guessed on the last corner.

Come on, it can't be that bad. A tape measure works the same down there. @leo_black76 just sounds like he had a really messy basement. It's just measuring, not a survival trip. A little dust and a weird angle never hurt anyone.
