I finally swapped my paper towel habit for a stack of rags 6 months ago
Used to blow through a roll every 3 days cleaning up spills and dusting around the house. Grabbed a pack of 24 white bar mops from the hardware store for $12 and it changed everything. Just toss them in the wash with bleach once a week and my trash bin is way less full. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

Thought about making the switch myself but the thing that stopped me (and it's weirdly specific) was the feeling of wiping a counter with a rag that's been sitting in a damp pile for a few days before laundry day. That mildew smell (even with bleach) kinda got to me eventually.

Wait hold on, you were actually using the same rag for days before laundry? That's wild to me. I thought everyone just tossed them in the hamper after each use or at least rinsed and hung them to dry. Dude that mildew smell is no joke though, I gagged just reading that. I feel like you could've saved yourself the trouble by just using paper towels for the gross stuff and keeping the rags for like dry dusting or something.

Ask @margaretramirez how often she really switches out her kitchen sponge though.
