Pro tip: Stop putting protest slogans on paper that bleeds in rain

Saw someone at a rally in Portland last month holding a sign that turned into a wet napkin after 20 minutes, and their message was totally gone. Grab a $5 roll of corrugated plastic from Home Depot instead, it holds up way better and you can reuse it for the next march.

Yeah reminds me of the guy at a climate rally last year who showed up with a sign written in actual crayon on construction paper. Looked great for about five minutes until a light drizzle turned it into a sad soggy pile of colors. At that point you're basically just holding wet cardboard and hoping people get the vibe. Corrugated plastic is the move for sure, and you can even hose it off if someone throws a drink at you which honestly happens more than you'd think.

Ngl just having a sign you can hose off feels like overkill but you do you.

Dollar store poster board and markers are worse when it gets windy too, saw a whole stack of signs scatter across a park downtown last weekend. Corrugated plastic might cost a bit more but it's way more durable and doesn't turn into confetti when you're trying to rally people. Plus if you use dry erase markers you can change the message for the next event without making new signs.
