Shoutout to the crew that faced a tough call on a river dig
We were digging in an old riverbed last month and found what looked like old Native American pottery pieces. The boss said to keep going to stay on time, but some of us thought we should stop and tell someone. It was hard because telling could set the project back for weeks and cost a lot. We finally stopped and got an expert to check, but it was a tough choice between saving history and doing our job.

That kind of integrity inspires everyone in the field to prioritize heritage over deadlines.

Used to be all about hitting deadlines and moving fast. Hearing about your call puts things in a new light for me. Saving that stuff is way bigger than any timeline.

Respect that call big time. Bosses always care about the schedule and the bottom line, but some stuff is bigger than a paycheck. You guys did the hard thing and it was the right thing. Future people will be glad you saved that history. Totally get why it sucked in the moment, but that's a solid move.

Yeah @paulc91, that "bigger than a paycheck" idea hits hard in everyday stuff, like skipping maintenance to save a quick buck.
