Went from a tidy panel to a rat's nest in one service call

I replaced a 20 year old load center for a customer in Phoenix last spring, had every wire labeled and strapped clean. Came back 6 months later for a different issue and the thing looked like a raccoon got in there with new circuits jammed in everywhere. Has anyone else had homeowners let some handyman butcher their work after you left?

Went from a tidy panel to a rat's nest" - man, I heard a sparky friend say that's the main reason he charges more for service upgrades now, because he knows someone's gonna come in and undo all his work. Seems like the ones who call you for a real job are never the ones who mess it up later.

Wait... someone actually pays extra just because they KNOW their work will get messed up later?

So they charged extra for the "future handyman tax" basically.
