Had a client in Phoenix with crazy sensitive skin that taught me a new rule
So I was doing a facial on this new client, let's call her Sarah, and she swore her skin could handle a mild enzyme peel. Her chart said 'normal' but within maybe 90 seconds of applying it, her whole face went bright red and felt hot to the touch. I rinsed it off fast, but it was a full blown reaction. She was super chill about it, said it happens sometimes with new products. The thing is, she'd just moved from a humid climate to the dry Phoenix heat two months ago, and her skin had totally changed but she didn't even realize it. Now I always do a spot test behind the ear with any active, even if the client says their skin is fine, and I ask about recent moves or weather changes in the consult. Has anyone else had a client's skin type do a complete 180 after a big move?

Even your gut bacteria get confused when the seasons shift too fast.
