Thinking back on how my grandma's cold cream ritual got me into this field.
She would always use that thick pink cream from a jar every night. I now explain chemical exfoliants to people in my chair. It's wild how those slow, careful routines stuck with me. I sometimes wish we still took that kind of time for simple care.

Wait, you're telling me that thick pink cream was cold cream? Honestly, I always saw that jar at my grandma's house and thought it was just weird lotion. Tbh, it never clicked that people built whole routines around it. It's wild how something so simple can shape a career like that. I kind of miss those slow rituals too, everything is so rushed now. Ngl, this makes me want to dig out my grandma's old jar and actually try it.

Seeing @cole_flores44's comment reminded me of my aunt's cold cream habit. She had this whole ritual with a warm washcloth that felt really deliberate. I kind of miss that level of care, where stuff wasn't just about rushing through.

Did your grandma's cold cream smell like roses too? Mine did, and that weird perfumed wax scent reminded me of her for years.

Remember how that warm washcloth felt? I bet that small bit of heat made the whole thing feel like a real TREAT instead of a chore.
