Just read about a teacher in Ohio who got fired for a tweet about school funding
She used to post her political views all the time, but after the school board let her go last month, she said she won't post anything work-related again. The tweet just said the district needed to spend more on books than football gear, but they called it bad for the school's image. Has anyone seen a case where a post about work conditions was actually protected?

Bad for the school's image" is the problem right there. Schools care more about their brand than their actual classrooms. No wonder she got fired for saying the quiet part out loud.

Used to defend that stuff until I saw a school buy new bleachers while cutting art class.

Tell me about it. My old high school spent a fortune on a new sign out front while we were using textbooks that called the Soviet Union a current event. Image over everything, right?
