My 'low fat' yogurt had more sugar than a can of soda

Checked the label after my dentist in Boise asked about my snack habits. Anyone else get tricked by the 'healthy' front of the package?

Maybe the real health food is reading the back of the box.

Fell for that trap with granola bars last week. The box said "protein packed" and "whole grain" in huge letters, but the second ingredient was basically syrup. My pantry is a monument to good marketing now.

Yeah, "my pantry is a monument to good marketing" hits home. I used to grab anything labeled "natural" or "multigrain" and assume it was the better choice. Then I saw a "gluten-free" cookie that had more sugar and fat per serving than a regular one. That was the moment I stopped trusting the big words on the front. Now I just flip it over and look at the numbers.
