My wife called me out on my 'all natural' granola bar habit
She pointed out that the front label said 'all natural' but the ingredients listed 'brown rice syrup' as the first thing, which is basically just sugar. I checked a box from Nature's Promise and it had 12 grams of sugar per bar, which is a lot for a 'healthy' snack. I switched to just eating a handful of almonds and a piece of fruit instead. Anyone else get tricked by the 'natural' label on stuff that's mostly sweetener?

Ever check the sugar in yogurt? Same scam.

Check the labels on the plain Greek yogurt versus the fruit flavored ones. The difference is crazy, like dessert levels of sugar in some of them. They market it as a health food, but you have to hunt for the low sugar options. Makes you wonder what else they're hiding in plain sight.

Ugh, it's so true. I got fooled by that for ages. What finally worked for me was just buying the plain tub and adding my own frozen fruit. It takes like two seconds to mash some berries in there, and you control the sugar. The pre-mixed ones are basically just candy.
