Update: I saw a Bitcoin ATM in a small town gas station in Iowa last week
It was in a place called Grinnell, right next to the soda machine. I was filling up and it just sat there, no signs, no one using it. On one side, you could say it's a big win for free speech finance, putting real money tools where people live. On the other, it feels risky in a spot with no security and maybe not much help if something goes wrong. Has anyone else seen these popping up in unexpected spots, and do you think it helps or hurts the cause?

That's a wild thing to see out in the open. It feels like a double-edged sword for sure. On one hand, it makes buying crypto as easy as getting a soda, which is the whole point of real access. On the other, it's a huge target in a place with maybe one clerk watching the whole store. My gut says it hurts more than it helps right now, because a bad experience or a scam at that machine turns people off for good. It needs some kind of basic info posted right on it, at the very least.

hurts more than it helps" is crazy, the risk is worth the real access it gives.

Reminds me of those sketchy ATMs in gas stations, shane_park92, where convenience just invites trouble.
