That old oak dresser with the milk paint took me three days to strip clean

Kept thinking one more pass with the chemical stripper would do it. Ended up needing a heat gun and a ton of sanding. Anyone else run into paint that just won't quit?

Hate to say it but sometimes you just gotta leave the old paint.

My bathroom still has that weird peach trim from 1992 because I tried to paint over it once and it looked like a toddler did it. Now I just tell guests it's a "vintage accent wall" and pray they don't look too close.

That milk paint is basically glue. I had a green dresser that took a full week. The stripper just turned it into a sticky mess. A cabinet scraper was the only thing that worked, and even then it came off in rubbery chunks. Sometimes the old methods are the only answer.
