Question about a future where we all have a 'social credit' score for basic services

I read a report from a think tank in Oslo that predicts by 2040, your access to things like public transit or library loans could be tied to a score based on your online behavior and payment history, which honestly sounds like a bad week waiting to happen for anyone who argues online.

I used to think a social score was just for loans, maybe a 650 or something basic. Then my cousin in Shanghai told me his low score meant he couldn't book a fast train home for New Year. That's when it hit me, this isn't about money, it's about locking you out of normal life. A bad score over one argument could mean you can't even ride the bus to work. I changed my mind completely, it's a way to punish people for having opinions.

Heard my buddy got his metro pass frozen over a dumb tweet.

Calling their customer service line worked for me.

Not buying it honestly. One tweet getting your metro pass frozen sounds like a story that got exaggerated through a few buddies before it hit you. If it was that easy to get locked out of public transit, half the internet would be walking everywhere by now.
