Waiting for a decent robot vacuum review tested my last nerve
I almost bought that shiny new model based on the launch day hype videos. But those felt like ads, not real tests of how it handles pet hair or rug tassels. So I gritted my teeth and waited another three weeks for people who actually used it at home. The good ones finally showed it gets stuck on my kind of thresholds every single time. Saved me a huge hassle and a return trip to the store.

Read a detailed review where they measured the exact height it failed at. The robot kept trying to climb a quarter-inch step between rooms and eventually just shut down with an error. They also showed it getting its brushes tangled in a long shag rug the promo videos never even had in the frame.

You nailed it with the hype videos being ads. What type of thresholds did the real reviews show it failing on? My old place had those raised door frames that killed every bot I tried. Did they test on different floor types too, like thick carpet versus hardwood? I always wonder if the paid reviews even try the tough spots. It's annoying how they skip the real world problems.

Remember when those slick ads made every bot look perfect? Watching one struggle on a simple step changed my whole view.

Feel your pain with those old raised door frames... they're absolute bot killers. Watched a good review where it choked on the exact same laminate-to-tile lip in my kitchen. They ran it on high pile carpet too, and it just gave up and cried for help. It's so telling when the flashy videos only show perfect, bare floors. That quiet moment in a real review where it just bumps the threshold again and again... that's the truth you need. Saves so much anger and a box sitting by your door for weeks.
