TIL a bakery owner in a small town pointed me to the best view in the state.
I stopped at a random bakery during a road trip and got talking with the owner. She told me about a lookout point just outside town that most tourists miss. Isn't it funny how the best spots often come from locals?

Local tips are always the absolute best way to find cool stuff. I make a point to ask people who live somewhere for their favorite places whenever I'm traveling. Those happy accidents, like stopping at a random bakery, always lead to the most memorable parts of a trip. Bet that view was totally worth pulling over for.

Totally agree! Those random finds from talking to locals make a trip special. It's like unlocking secret spots that show the true vibe of a place.

Honestly though, is it really that deep? Sometimes a local's favorite spot is just a normal grocery store.

But aren't these 'secret finds' often just basic places locals go to (nothing magical)?
