My childhood best friend from 4th grade just ghosted me after I found her on Facebook
I tracked down Sarah Miller in Austin TX last month, the girl who taught me how to ride a bike without training wheels back in 2005. We swapped three messages about old times then she stopped replying completely, even left me on read after I asked if she remembered that time we both fell into the creek behind her house. Has anyone else had an old friend totally disappear after getting back in touch and did you ever figure out why?

Honestly this happened to me and after a while I just sent a short message saying "hey no pressure but if I said something weird my bad" and got a really honest answer back. Sometimes people just aren't ready to deal with who they used to be.

Honestly yeah I messaged my old soccer buddy and he went silent after I brought up our coach, still have no clue why.

I tracked down my old friend Mike from middle school on Instagram a few years ago and the same thing happened. We messaged for like a week straight, then he just stopped answering after I brought up a memory he probably didn't want to relive. Turns out that creek memory might hit a sore spot for her, maybe she had a bad time that day or something happened later she doesn't want to connect to you. I never found out why Mike ghosted, but after a while I just figured people change and sometimes the past is better left in the past, lol.
