My cousin Jake tried that same crap with his old Ford F-250. He spent a whole weekend filtering grease from the diner down the street, thought he was a genius saving 40 bucks a tank. Three months later that truck was stranded on the highway, injectors were completely clogged and the pump was done for. Cost him like 2 grand to get it all fixed, more than he ever saved on fuel. The whole "free fuel" thing is a lie unless you've got a proper conversion kit, not just dumping it in the tank. People hear one story online and think they're good to go, then end up paying triple in repairs.

Yo hold up, I gotta disagree a bit here. Yeah your cousin's story sucks and I feel for him, but calling the whole thing a scam isn't fair. I've been running my old Mercedes diesel on homemade biodiesel for like 2 years now and it's been solid, no major issues at all. The difference is I filtered it properly and mixed it with regular diesel, didn't just dump straight grease in. Most people mess up by not taking the time to process the oil right, or they try it on a modern common rail diesel that can't handle it at all. Your cousin's old Ford would've been fine if he had just blended it 50/50 with pump diesel and changed the fuel filter more often, but yeah you gotta know what you're doing or it'll bite you.
