Three months of training my dog not to bark at the mailman ended with him bringing me a thank you card from the mailman

Last Wednesday the guy handed me a $10 Starbucks gift card and said your dog used to make my whole route miserable, now he just wags his tail, has anyone else actually won over a neighborhood nemesis like that?

Yeah my buddy had a similar thing with his mailman. Dog used to go crazy at the fence every day, now they're buddies and the mailman brings him milk bones.
