Spent $200 on a can of Montana Gold spray paint and it clogged on the first cap...

I bought a 400ml can of Montana Gold for a mural downtown and the nozzle gave out after 10 minutes of use. Tried swapping caps, soaking it in acetone, nothing worked. Anyone else had luck with a different brand that doesn't do this?

...so my buddy Mike had the exact same thing happen with a Montana Gold can last summer. He was doing a big piece behind a gas station and the nozzle just died on him mid-spray. Tried everything you did, even brought it back to the art store, but they wouldn't take it back lol. He switched over to MTN 94 and swears by it now, says he's never had a clog with those cans. I've used a few myself and they always felt smoother to me, plus they're usually a couple bucks cheaper at the shop near my house. Maybe give those a shot if you're tired of wasting money on fancy paint that craps out.

Wait hold on, the art store wouldn't take it back? That's wild. Around here they usually swap out a dead can no questions asked, especially if it's same day. Makes me wonder if Mike got a bad batch or if that shop was just being jerks about it. I've heard MTN 94 is solid but never had a Montana Gold kill on me mid-spray like that. Honestly that would make me freak out, I'd think the can was haunted or something lol.
