I finally broke my habit of keeping all windows shut tight
I used to never open my windows to stay warm and save on heat. Now I have to deal with condensation and a musty smell all the time. How do you keep your air moving without freezing in a small space?
Ever feel like you're just trading one problem for another? I went through that same shift a few years ago and it was a real pain at first. What works for me now is opening a window just a tiny bit, like partway open, but only in the room I'm actually using. That way you get some air moving without losing all the heat.
Run your bathroom fan for 20 minutes after a shower, it pulls a ton of damp air out. I do that in my place and it cuts the musty feeling way down without making the whole room cold.
