Honestly, corar37 has a point about people blowing things out of proportion. The difference between a slope and a hill isn't just about inches on a map. It's about how it actually feels to go up it. A real slope makes you lean into it and changes your stride. Calling every little bump a slope is how we end up with no good words left for when you actually face a long, steep climb. It just waters down the meaning.
