Noticed a unique tree on my street and ended up planning a solo camping trip
I was walking my dog around the block yesterday and saw this twisted, ancient-looking oak in someone's front yard. It made me think about how many odd trees might be out in state forests nearby. So I looked up a park with old growth woods about three hours away and booked a spot for myself this weekend. I'm packing light, just a tent, some food, and a good book. The idea of sitting alone under big trees with no noise sounds perfect right now. Has anyone else done a solo trip because of something simple they saw at home? I'd love to hear about other spur-of-the-moment adventures people have taken.
