Finally beat a stubborn bead that took me 45 minutes
Spent way too long yesterday trying to get a tire bead to seat on my old mountain bike rim out in my driveway. Seriously it took like 45 minutes of wrestling and cussing before I remembered I had a compressor instead of just my hand pump. Soon as I hit it with 80 psi it popped right on like it was nothing. Anybody else waste time fighting with a bead before realizing you just need more air pressure?

Oh, come on. Forty-five minutes wrestling a tire bead? That sounds more like a stubborn streak than a stubborn bead. I've had them fight back, sure, but not for that long.

There's a special kind of rage that comes from a tire bead that just will not seat.

Oh man, the bead struggle is real! I spent an hour trying to get a stubborn one on my old truck tire and finally gave up, only to have my neighbor walk over and pop it on in like 30 seconds with a different technique. I still think about that sometimes when I'm stuck on something simple.
