That so-called quick oil change place took 2 hours to do my oil
Pulled in at 3pm on a Tuesday. Told them just a standard oil change. They said 20 minutes tops. I sat in that waiting room watching the clock. Watched three cars get done before mine. Finally rolled out at 5:10. Two hours and ten minutes for something I could have done in my driveway in 30. Anyone else had one of those places totally blow their time estimate?

Honestly, I used to be one of those people who thought quick lube places were fine, just a necessary evil. Tbh, a couple years back I would have defended them, saying they're convenient for busy people who can't be bothered. But after watching one take almost three hours on a Saturday morning when they promised 30 minutes, I totally get it now. Ngl, it's wild how they can be so off with their estimates when it's literally the only thing they do all day.

Read somewhere that quick lube places actually lose money on oil changes and make it back on upselling you stuff you don't need.
