Vent: My ex said I cared too much about having a clean kitchen

He would leave dirty dishes in the sink for days and get mad when I washed them after he said he would do it later. I started letting them pile up just to prove a point, until bugs showed up near the trash can. That was the moment I realized he didn't care about shared spaces at all. How do you split chores with someone who just doesn't see the mess?

Right @drew_jones31, sounds like you were living with a human garbage disposal in denial.

My last roommate left a half-eaten burrito under the couch for like a week and I only found it because I was looking for my AirPod. I mean, I’m no neat freak myself - my car looks like a recycling bin exploded - but bugs are where I draw the line. Maybe it’s just me, but when you start seeing ants marching like they’re on a mission, the other person has officially lost the argument. Idk, some people just have a different definition of "clean enough" and it's usually the one where they don’t have to touch a sponge.

Hear you @drew_jones31 but is a half-eaten burrito really the end of the world? I once found a petrified apple slice behind my fridge from like 2019 and just threw it out without even telling anybody.

Found a moldy taco under my passenger seat once, just kept driving.
