inTrying to share my love of comics with my teenage nephew
My nephew Tommy got a stack of X-Men books from me last Christmas. He ignored them until I grabbed a comic based on that FORTNITE game he plays. Now he asks ME about new issues, which is a total win.

inI finally wrestled with whether to report my buddy's unsafe shed wiring.
Wait, did you really think about not telling someone? I mean, I've been in that spot, fretting over friendship, but bad wiring is serious business. My cousin had a close call with his garage wires last summer, and it woke me up to the risks. You have to look past the awkward talk and see the real danger. If a fire starts, your friend's shed isn't the only thing at stake, it's the whole neighborhood. So reporting it isn't about being a bad pal, it's about doing the hard right thing.

inHybrid jobs scared me off at first, not anymore
Just another puzzle" is a pretty big stretch. Those hybrid jobs eat up so much time for what you get paid. You fix a couple and feel smart, but then the next one has a weird new problem that takes three hours to diagnose. That's time you could have spent on two or three normal, easy jobs. Some customers do appreciate it, but a lot just see the final bill and get upset it wasn't faster or cheaper. The stress of that unknown factor never really goes away. For a lot of us, that complexity is still a very good reason to avoid them.

inDAE spend extra hours checking details and feel it's worth it?
Remember finding a missing decimal point that saved the project months later.

inVent: Painting over glossy trim without sanding first is a sure way to mess up.
Remember my buddy who tried to skip sanding his kitchen trim? The paint peeled off in sheets like a bad sunburn a week later.
