DAE spend extra hours checking details and feel it's worth it?

Everyone on my team pushes to finish drawings fast to meet deadlines. I always take my time to review each line and dimension. Last month, this caught a critical error in a foundation plan. We fixed it before sending it out, avoiding a costly site issue. Now I stand by my slow method, even if others disagree.

Remember finding a missing decimal point that saved the project months later.

Totally get what Charles is saying! Wyatt134 is right that those tiny errors can cause huge panic later. I've seen a single typo in a config file bring a whole server down because nobody caught it during testing. It feels silly at the time, but finding it later feels like a major victory. Those little fixes really do save so much time and stress down the road.

But was that error really going to cause a big problem? Sometimes small fixes get talked up more than they need to be.

That decimal point thing Charles mentioned is exactly why small errors freak people out. Nancy, have you seen a case where something tiny got ignored, then blew up way later? Like a wrong setting that seemed harmless until it crashed a whole system.
