TIL my kitchen scale turns off at the worst possible moments

I was in the middle of a crazy lunch rush trying to batch out cookie dough. The scale has this auto-shutoff thing if you don't touch it for a minute. I was weighing butter, looked away to grab vanilla, and the screen went blank. Had to dump everything and start over, twice. Same thing happened with the sugar for the frosting later. It turned a simple task into a total circus. I've started just leaving a spoon on it to trick the sensor, works like a charm.

Warning: Health board inspections in my area just got way more picky

Site managers are now focusing more on team building activities.

At my company, we have short meetings every morning to go over safety and goals. It helps us communicate better and catch issues early. I see this practice spreading to other crews in the area.

Can we talk about clicker training not working for some dogs?

I tried it with my border collie, and he just got scared of the sound. All the training videos say it's the best way to teach tricks, but it made him hide under the table. We had more success when I just used a happy voice to mark good actions. Maybe some dogs are too sensitive for loud noises like clicks. It's okay to use what works for your pet, even if it's not popular.
