Back in 2019 I had to pick between Salesforce and HubSpot for our CRM

We were a 15 person SaaS at the time and my CEO was dead set on Salesforce. I argued for HubSpot because of the easier setup and lower cost for our size. We went with HubSpot and honestly it worked great for 2 years until we hit 40 people and started needing more customization. Now I wonder if Salesforce would have saved us that migration headache. Anyone else make a choice like that and regret it later?

Oh man I read somewhere that most companies outgrow whatever CRM they pick first after a few years.

Yeah that "outgrow" thing really hits home, it's a real pain.

The 40 person mark is exactly where we hit the wall too. @paulw53 is right, that outgrowing thing is brutal when you've already built half your workflow around how HubSpot does things. We ended up going with a custom integration layer instead of fully migrating and it still causes issues two years later. If I could go back I'd spend the extra month on setup with Salesforce upfront knowing what I know now about scaling.
