Are checklists really that helpful for onboarding? I see @fionagreen's point, but they can make things too stiff. Sometimes you need to skip steps or adjust on the fly to keep moving. If every request is different, a strict list just adds more work.

Checklists save my life every time for staying on top of onboarding.

Your "save my life" point is fair, but even good checklists need room for exceptions sometimes.
