CRM migration crashed and lost 3 months of lead data
We switched to a new CRM vendor in March and the data transfer tool corrupted our entire lead history from January to March. Has anyone else had a migration go this badly and what did you do to recover?

Stopped the migration mid-disaster and had our old CRM team pull a raw database export from their backups. Rented a server, loaded it manually, and re-ran the transfer in small batches. Took two weekends but saved about 80% of the data.

Hold your horses maybe this was a blessing in disguise to clean out some stale leads you didn't need anyway.

Hold on, you said THREE MONTHS of lead data? That is absolutely INSANE. I would be losing my mind if I were you. Jake saying it's a blessing is WILD to me because fresh leads from the last 90 days are GOLD. Those are the ones you've actually been talking to and building relationships with, not some dusty old list. Getting back 80% of it like kim_ramirez3 did sounds like a miracle, but I'd be terrified of what the corrupted 20% cost you in missed deals. I really hope you have a backup somewhere because that kind of loss can set a whole sales team back to square one.
