That 2019 trade show in Ohio where a vendor handed me a plain manila envelope changed how I vet suppliers forever
I was at the Cleveland B2B expo and one of the sales guys slipped me a list of all their competitor's pricing and weaknesses in that envelope, which felt shady at the time but taught me to never trust a company that badmouths others outright, has anyone else run into that kind of sales tactic?

Always check the source before trusting any "insider info" like that...

Look, I get what you're saying about checking sources, but in my 40 years of watching this stuff I've seen plenty of REAL insider info get proven RIGHT when people actually looked into it. Take the 2012 Apple leak about the iPhone 5 from that random guy on MacRumors - everyone said it was fake until the phone dropped and it was ALL correct. Sometimes those "anonymous" sources have a LOT to lose if they get caught, so they're extra careful with what they put out there. I'm not saying believe everything, but dismissing it all as garbage is just as bad as believing it all.

Man that Apple leak thing totally brought back memories of me trying to convince my buddy the iPhone 5 was real and him calling me a clown. Guess who got the last laugh... until my phone battery died 20 minutes later.
