I just spent $40 on a terrible movie and I'm not even mad

My friend bet me I wouldn't sit through 'The VelociPastor' and I took him up on it. I figured it was a waste of money, but the whole thing is about a priest who turns into a dinosaur to fight ninjas. The CGI is so bad it looks like a screensaver from 2002. I laughed harder at this than any 'good' comedy I've seen this year. It made me realize a truly awful movie with zero shame is way more fun than a boring, mediocre one. Anyone have a recommendation for something that's so dumb it's brilliant?

Totally get that feeling. My friend made me watch "ThanksKilling" last year, which is about a killer turkey. The puppet looks like a stuffed animal from a garage sale. We couldn't stop laughing at how seriously it took its own dumb story. That kind of movie is a whole mood.

Ever think laughing at bad movies is mean? I used to agree with smith.parker about respecting the craft. But honestly, sharing a dumb laugh with friends over a puppet turkey is its own kind of good time.

Hard disagree. Wasting money on bad art just lowers the bar for everyone. @moore.beth, those movies are painful to sit through, not fun. A boring but well-made film at least respects your time and the craft. Laughing at a movie's failure feels cheap and mean-spirited.
