One comment about my resume got me banned from a job forum
Posted my resume for feedback on a career site and some guy said my summary paragraph was "corporate fluff nobody reads." He told me to replace the whole thing with a single line about what I actually achieved in dollars saved or time cut. I did it and got three interviews the next week. The mods banned me for "arguing with feedback" when I pushed back at first, but that one line fixed more than all the courses I took.

Used to roll my eyes at advice like this back when I was job hunting. Thought recruiters wanted to see words like "passionate" and "results-driven" crammed in there. But this post kinda slapped some sense into me. That one line approach cuts through all the noise, hiring folks just want to know the numbers. I still think some context is good, but the fluff is absolutely pointless. Crazy that changing a few words gets you more calls than a whole resume rewrite.

Wow, that's wild how changing one thing opened up that many interviews so fast... makes you wonder how many other "standard" pieces of career advice are actively hurting people. Nobody talks about how the people giving feedback on those forums might be repeating stuff they heard five years ago that doesn't even work anymore. That guy's bluntness probably did more for you than all the polite "great resume!" comments ever could.
