Just realized I wasted $150 on a fancy rib rack that ruined my cook

I bought this heavy duty stainless steel rib rack last year thinking it would help me fit more on my smoker. Used it for the first time on a full pack of St. Louis ribs. The design was so tight it blocked all the airflow around the meat, and the ribs on the bottom came out tough and uneven. I lost a whole batch that should have been perfect. Anyone have a better method for smoking multiple racks without crowding them?

Thought those racks were a must-have until the same thing happened to me. Just lay them flat on a bigger grate or cook them in shifts now.

Yeah @shanef34, flat is the way to go for sure.

Those racks look good but can really mess with the heat. I just lay mine flat now like @rowanhernandez said, works way better.
